Mr. Willie "Bill" Charles Mabery

Mr. Willie "Bill" Charles Mabery, age 80, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital.

 

 

 

He was born on February 15, 1932 in Atlanta, GA to loving parents the late Mr. Beckham Mabery and Mrs. Juanita Williams Mabery.

 

 

 

Bill was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He served during the Korean Conflict. He was a carpenter by trade and was employed by Womack Construction Company. While living in Augusta, GA he was active in his community as a Volunteer Firefighter. He became Fire Chief with the Volunteer Fire Department and began a Fire Department in his community. He was a Boy Scout Master. Upon moving to Dallas, he became a member of New Hope First Baptist Church. He was a Past Master of Dallas Lodge #182 F&AM, and a Royal Arch Mason with Chapter #142. He remained active with the Masons until the late 70's. He enjoyed attending gun shows.

 

 

 

He is survived by his beloved wife Mrs. Betty Yonce Mabery of Dallas, GA; two sons Mr. & Mrs. Chuck (Ann) Mabery of Dallas, GA, and Mr. & Mrs. Randy (Nancy) Mabery of Columbia, TN; four grandchildren Mr. & Mrs. Michael (Crystal) Pace, Mr. John Beckham Mabery, Mr. & Mrs. Andrew (Pam) Smith all of Dallas, GA, and Ms. Nickie Mabery of Columbia, TN; five great grandchildren Kevin Pace, Chasleigh Pace, Aspen Smith, Gauge Smith, and Abby Mabery; special in law Mr. & Mrs. Buddy (Sylvia) Price of Augusta, GA; many other cousins in Moorehead, KY.

 

 

 

Funeral services for Mr. Bill Mabery will be held in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at 3 pm with Minister Keith Bowman officiating. Music will include the selections Amazing Grace, Precious Memories, and Going Home. Kerry York, Ricky Hicks, Terry Oliver, Jimmy Taylor, Paul Farber, and Larry Deavers will serve as pallbearers. John Mabery will serve as honorary pallbearer. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens where there will be graveside military and masonic honors.

 

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, November 24, 2012 from 5 – 9 pm and Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 9 am until the funeral hour.
