Sara Evelyn McCard Johnston, age 86, of Dallas, GA, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012. She was born, December 3, 1925, in Lifsey Springs, GA, and was preceded in death by her parents, Lyndon Gwen McCard & Willie McSwain McCard and her husband, Lawton Ray Johnston. Mrs. Johnston was the secretary at Western Auto in Dallas until December of 1967 and worked as a para-professional at Dallas Elementary for 7 years. She was a former secretary at the First Baptist Church in Dallas, where she was a member.

Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Pam & Frank Henry of Dallas, GA and grandchild, Jessica Henry of Dallas, GA.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at 11:00 AM, from the First Baptist Church of Dallas, with Reverend Don Rackley officiating. The interment will follow in the Dallas City Cemetery, with Tim Waller, Mike Waller, Freddy Henderson, Trevor Williams, James Lollis and Fred Henry serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at the First Baptist Church of Dallas, from 10:00 AM until the service time.
