Elizabeth Amanda Kitchens, age 77, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012. She was born on April 2, 1935 in Gadsden, Alabama to the late William Watkins and Rebecca Jane Jenkins Watkins. She was a special education teacher and a member at Tabernacle Baptist Church of Hiram, GA.

 

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Joseph Lee Kitchens of Dallas, GA; a son, Edward Ronald and Tonya Stephenson, of Naples, FA; daughters, Mary and Jerry Cornell, of Puunene, Hawaii, and Laura and James Boggs, of Dallas, GA, sister; Gladys Kosteclic, of Gulf Shores, AL, sister in law Odell Elrod, of Cullman, AL 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Hiram, GA with Rev. Hayward Bass officiating, music rendered by Rev. Danny Patrick. Mrs. Kitchens will lie in state one hour prior to the service. The interment will follow in the Midway Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Clark Funeral Home, in Hiram, GA is in charge of arrangements.
