Mr. Cecil Hunter “CH” Chatwood, age 58, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at his residence.

 

 

 

Cecil was born in Columbus, GA, on November 20, 1953, to beloved parents the late Mr. Seborn Cecil Chatwood and Mrs. Ordettie Brunson Chatwood. He was also preceded in death by one brother Mr. Emory Chatwood.

 

 

 

Cecil worked as a machinist. He was a veteran of our United States Army. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed deer hunting and spending time with his family.

 

 

 

Mr. Chatwood is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Mrs. Judy Chatwood of Douglasville, GA; two sons Mr. & Mrs. Michael (Tonia) Chatwood of Powder Springs, GA, and Mr. & Mrs. Jimmy (Devin) Chatwood of Villa Rica, GA; three grandchildren Matthew Chatwood, Tami Chatwood, and Taryn Chatwood all of Powder Springs, GA; three sisters Mrs. Tawanna Wall of Statham, GA, Mr. and Mrs. Randy (Dean) Ford of Covington, GA, and Mrs. Jean Bell of Cragford, AL; several nieces, nephews, and many adopted children as well.

 

 

 

Funeral services for Mr. Chatwood will be held in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 2 pm with the Reverend Thomas Cole officiating. Music will include Farewell Party by Gene Watson, How Great Thou Art and Amazing Grace by Elvis. Cremation will immediately follow the service.

 

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 4 – 9 pm and Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 9 am until the funeral hour. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to The National Rifle Association at nra.org or The American Cancer Society at cancer.org.
