Haleymom Posted September 12, 2012 Report Share Posted September 12, 2012 Mr. Dorsey Gus Swann, age 66, of Dallas, Georgia passed away Monday, September 10, 2012 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton. A native of Carroll County, he was born February 13, 1946 the son of the late Mr. Allen Gus Swann and the late Mrs. Nannie Faye Cook Swann. He worked as a carpenter with Ricky Norman Construction for many years. He was an avid hunter who loved his beagles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Swann Hannah. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Swann of Dallas, Georgia; two sons and daughter-in-law, Richard Alan and Andrea Swann of Carrollton and Joshua Lane Swann of Villa Rica; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Kelley and Gary Morris of Paulding County, Georgia; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Gaynell and Robert Tolbert of Temple, Barbara and Kirby Norman, Helen and Robert Willoughby, and Carolyn and Ralph Moore all of Villa Rica; two brothers-in-law, Donald Hannah of Villa Rica and Carey Shead of Paulding County; five grandchildren, Logan Swann of Carrollton, Gabe Swann of Carrollton, Chris Creek of Villa Rica, Kirk Creek of Villa Rica, and April Creek of Paulding County; two great-grandchildren, Payton Creek of Paulding County and Adlyn Creek of Villa Rica; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica, Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 11:30 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Dr. James Burdette and Rev. Neal Williams officiating. Musical selections will be provided by Kelly McCord. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica. Messages of condolences may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
