Funeral Director Posted September 7, 2012 Report Share Posted September 7, 2012 Mr. Royce Lee Hutchens, age 59, of Bowdon, Georgia, passed away on Friday, August 31, 2012. Royce was born on April 7, 1953 in Cartersville, GA to loving parents Mr. Hubert Lee Hutchens and Mrs. Geraline “Jurrie” Elizabeth Cox Hutchens. He attended House of Prayer in Hiram, GA and Congregational Holiness at Mt. Zion, GA. Mr. Hutchens worked as a Truck Driver for Tracie McCormick Inc. He loved church and was a faithful church worker. He played the guitar and sang. He enjoyed going to the lake. Mr. Lee Hutchens is survived by his wife Mrs. Shelia Baxter Hutchens of Bowden, GA; one daughter Mr. & Mrs. Greg (DJ) Davies of Rockmart, GA; two sons Mr. & Mrs. Billy (Donna) Burns of Dallas, GA, and Mr. & Mrs. Mannie (Julie) Hutchens of Rockmart, GA; two stepchildren Mr. & Ms. John (Angie) Baxter of Bowdon, GA, and Mr. & Mrs. Joe (Carrie) Baxter of Salem, VA; two grandchildren Lee Hutchens of Rockmart, GA and Billy Burns, Jr. of Dallas, GA; three step grandchildren Allen Baxter of Virginia, Austin Baxter and Sierra Baxter both of Bowdon, GA; mother Mr. Gerry Cox Hutchens of Acworth, GA; one sister Mr. & Mrs. James (Reba) Lore of Acworth, GA; several nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Hutchens will be held in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 3 pm with Pastor Curtis Holloway, Reverend Larry Parrish, and Minister Mike Hutchens officiating. Doyle Mooney Jr., Jessie Carter, Brent Gregory, Chris Lore, Robert Gregory, and Austin Baxter will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, September 9, 2012 from 1 – 9 pm and Monday, September 10, 2012 from 9 am until the funeral hour.
