Mrs. Betty S. Greenwood

Mrs. Betty Syble Standard Greenwood, age 83, of Powder Springs, GA passed away at her residence on August 10, 2012.

 

 

 

Betty was born in Porter Daley, GA on June 24, 1929 to loving parents the late Mr. Harvey Standard and Mrs. Georgia Mae Brown Standard. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years Mr. Richard Greenwood who passed away in March, 2003, infant son Alexander Greenwood, and two brothers Mr. Billy Standard and Mr. Buddy Standard.

 

 

 

Mrs. Greenwood was a member of the Lutheran Church of Nativity in Austell, GA. She was also a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

 

 

 

She is survived by two sons Mr. Richard Greenwood, Jr. of Carrollton, GA and Mr. Earl John Greenwood of Dallas, GA; three daughters Mrs. Patricia Easterwood of Wedowee, AL, Mrs. Sharon McElroy of Dallas, GA and Mrs. Cynthia Mooney of Villa Rica, GA; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Christine Smith of Clarkdale, GA; nieces, nephews, and many other beloved family members and friends.

 

 

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Greenwood will be held in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at 3 pm with Chaplain Denise Haines officiating. Intement will follow on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 11:30 am Ft. Benning Post Cemetery. Reverend Thomas Cole will officiate Graveside service.

 

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 4 – 9 pm and Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 9 am until the time of service.
