Mrs. Shirley G. “Jerry” Cook Muncher, age 72 of Dallas passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Douglasville Nursing and Rehab.

 

Mrs. Muncher was born on January 12, 1940 in Atlanta, GA the daughter of the late Arthur T. Cook and the late Mary Thelma Andrews Cook. Mrs. Muncher was a member of the Victory Tabernacle Ministries. She was a homemaker and enjoyed wrestling, playing bingo, and fishing. She is preceded in death by three great-grandchildren; brother, John T. Cook; and maternal grandparents.

 

 

Mrs. Muncher is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Thomas “Tom” Muncher; two daughters, Leila and Danny Echols of Temple and Frances and Allen Fincher of Dalton; two sons, Scott and Beverly Muncher ofDallas and Keith and Donna Muncher of Douglasville; nine grandchildren Jason Muncher, Jarrod and Melissa Muncher, Benjamin Muncher, Jessi and Tony Tavella, Amanda and John Polo, Josh Brown, Jessica Brown, Brittany Fincher, and Katrina Jones; twenty-three great-grandchildren and many other beloved family and friends.

 

Funeral Services for Mrs. Muncher will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Brother Chuck Thomas officiating.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 23, 2012 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm. and on Tuesday, July 24, 2012from 9:00 am until the funeral hour.
