Mr. James P. "Ike" Kennedy, age 41 of Hampton, GA passedaway on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at his residence.

 

 

Mr. Kennedy was born on July 28, 1970 in Fulton County, GAto the late Cecil M. Kennedy and Carol Lee Bell Kennedy of Marietta. Mr. Kennedy worked as a meat cutter withPublix Grocery store and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing and Georgia Techfootball. Mr. Kennedy is preceded indeath by his father, Mr. Cecil Kennedy; sister, Carolyn Kennedy; and his aunt KatieSue Kennedy.

 

 

Mr. Kennedy is survived by his wife, Mrs. Judith KirklandKennedy of Hampton; a daughter, Katie Kennedy of Hampton; mother, Mrs. CarolLee Bell Kennedy; sister, Susan (Ronnie) Warr of Mississippi; brother, Mike(Tina) Kennedy of Marietta; nieces, Ashley Warr of Mississippi and Joann Kennedy of South Carolina; nephews, Jamie Warr and Andrew Warr of Mississippi,Nickie Frady, Ricky Frady, Matthew Frady and Tyler Kennedy, all of Marietta;and many other family members and friends.

 

 

Funeral services for Mr. Kennedy will be held on Friday,June 8, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home withBrother Ken Wiggins and Reverend Jim Cash officiating. Mr. Ronnie Warr will read poem and Mrs. Mary Kirklandwill also speak. Interment will followat the New Hope Cemetery. The following gentlemenhave been asked to serve as pallbearers: Billy Payne, Billy Wallace, Alan Gardner, Mike Hensley, Jason Cantrell,and Keith Burdett.

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home onThursday, June 7, 2012 from 4:00 – 9:00 pm and on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 9am until the funeral hour.
