Clark Funeral Home Posted June 2, 2012 Report Share Posted June 2, 2012 (edited) Laban Roosevelt Tibbitts, age 79, of Burnt Hickory (Dallas), passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2012. He was born on November 3, 1932, in Dallas, GA, to the late Reverend William Maston and Vera Myrtice Tibbitts. Mr. Tibbitts retired as a supervisor after 18 from the Paulding County D.O.T., and was a member of Narroway Baptist Church. Laban enjoyed spending time with his family, enjoyed family outings, and loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Tibbitts enjoyed traveling the United States, especially the Western United States, with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Laban loved Narroway Baptist Church and his church family. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Fay Tibbitts of Dallas; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Laban & Sherrie (Elsberry) Tibbitts of Dallas, Dago & Vickie (Clay) Tibbitts of Dallas, and Joey & Mandy (Johnson) Tibbitts of Dallas; brother, Eri & Ida May Tibbitts of Dallas; sister, Fannie Holcombe of Dallas; grandchildren Melanie and Gary; Jason and Leslie; Jon and Jodi; Kip; Caleb; Zane and Jean Marie and great-grandchildren Dustin; Ansleigh; Keeley; Baleigh; Andrew; Cole; Taryn; Adalyn; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 4, 2012, at 2 p.m., from Narroway Baptist Church with Reverend Todd Tibbitts, Reverend Jimmy Tibbitts, Reverend Hershel Tibbitts, and Reverend Kyle Tibbetts officiating. Internment will follow in Narroway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 3, 2012, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Narroway Cemetery Memorial Fund, 720 Mountain Road, Dallas, GA 30132, c/o Trent Tibbitts.
