Mr. James M. Cowart, age 94, of Dallas, GA passed away onTuesday, May 8, 2012 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice at Cobb.

 

 

Mr. Cowart was born on April 19, 1918 in Fort Payne, AL theson of the late Mr. George Cowart and the late Mrs. Ruby Cowart. Mr. Cowart was a Navy veteran proudly servingduring World War II. He was a member ofthe Fortified Hills Baptist Church of Dallas, GA. Mr. Cowart worked as a butcher with the A& P Grocery stores and was a member of the American Legion and the CivitanClub. Mr. Cowart is also preceded indeath by two sons, Mr. Jerome Cowart and Mr. Maxie Cowart.

 

 

Mr. Cowart is survived by his wife, Mrs. Catherine BlackwellCowart; two daughters, Ms. Vicki Maxwell Holcombe of Smyrna and Mrs. Lynn(Bruce) Maxwell Fairchild of Marietta; nine grandchildren; threegreat-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

 

 

Memorial services for Mr. Cowart will be held on Saturday,May 12, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Fortified Hills Baptist Church, Dallas, GA withthe Reverend Dewey Davidson officiating. The family will receive friends at thechurch from 10:00 am until the funeral hour.
