Carlton Johnson, age 86, of Dallas, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012. He was born on March 1, 1926, in Cedartown, GA, to the late James and Eldres Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a United States Army Veteran, retired as a truck driver, and was a member of Cochran Ridge Baptist Church.

 

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Eva Johnson of Dallas; son and daughter-in-law, Larry & Kaye Johnson of Hiram; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa & David O’Shields of Valley Grande, AL; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at 3 p.m., from Cochran Ridge Baptist Church, with Pastor Rick Eaves officiating. Internment will follow in Cochran Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Chris Johnson, Chad Jones, Stanley Pelfrey, Kevin O’Shields, Corey Jones and Derek Hurst will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 16, 2012, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

 

Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA is in charge of arrangements.
