Mrs. Hilda Mae Seaman Swanson

Mrs. Hilda Mae Seaman Swanson, age 83, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away on April 4, 2012 at Heritage Hospice in Marietta, GA.

 

 

 

Mrs. Hilda Mae Swanson was born on February 9, 1929 in Bayou La Batre, AL to loving parents the late Mr. Benny Seaman and Mrs. Lucy Mae Raybourn Seaman. She is also preceded in death by her husband Mr. William Edward Swanson, Sr., and one daughter Mrs. Carol Merrell.

 

 

 

Mrs. Swanson was a homemaker and dearly loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed working outdoors. She was a member of Chattahoochee Baptist Church.

 

 

 

Mrs. Hilda Mae Swanson is survived by two sons Mr. William E. Swanson, Jr. of Douglasville, GA and Mr. Ronnie Lawton of Tillman’s Corner, AL; two daughters Mrs. Beverly Gonzalez of Ohio and Mrs. Sue Queen of Marietta, GA; thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews as well as other beloved friends.

 

 

 

Graveside Services for Mrs. Swanson will be held at Georgia Memorial Park on Friday, April 6, 2012 at 1 pm with Reverend Thomas Cole officiating.
