Mr. David Harold Dooley

Mr. David Harold Dooley, age 69 of Dallas, GA passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at his residence.

 

 

 

Mr. Dooley was born on February 20, 1943 in Rome, GA, the son of the late Mr. Jacy Harold Dooley and the late Mrs. Eva Corine Wright Dooley. Mr. Dooley was a veteran of the Navy Seabees having proudly served during the Vietnam War and was a member ofthe American Legion, Dallas Post III. He retired from Lockheed as a machinist and was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Dallas. He loved entertaining his grandchildren, woodworking, guns, and playing bluegrass gospel music guitar. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Mr. James Allan Dooley in 2007 and a brother-in-law, Joseph Morris in 2011.

 

 

 

Mr. David Dooley is survived by his wife, Mrs. Joyce Laverne Morris Dooley of Dallas; a son, Mr. Tommy (Melinda) Dooley of Dallas; a daughter, Mrs. Aneysa (Mikeal) Thomason of Cartersville; eight grandchildren, Troy Dooley, Tyler Dooley, Madeline Dooley, Makayla Dooley, Mallory Dooley, Devon Thomason, Nathan Thomason, and Jacob Thomason; a brother, Mr. Danny (Elaine) Dooley of Dallas;two brothers-in-laws, Mr. George Morris and Mr. Darrell (Denise) Morris, all of Dallas; two sister-in-laws, Mrs. Gayle Morris of Bremen and Mrs. Pat Dooley ofDallas; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survives.

 

 

 

Funeral Services for Mr. Dooley will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with the Reverend Paul Hebert and Reverend Bobby McDowell officiating. Interment will follow in the Springdale Baptist Church Cemetery, Rockmart. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers: Larry Fennell, Troy Bowman, Corey Davis, Wayne Fennell, James Morris,and Ben Vaughn. Honorary Pallbearer will be Junior Fennell.

 

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 26, 2012 from 4:00 – 9:00 pm and on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 from 9 am until the funeral hour.
