brandiblueyes
Can someone tell me more about what happened to Dr. Raines? He had only been my dentist a few months. He greatly helped me through an accident, and let me pay monthly because I have no insurance. I missed an appointment the day before he died. When I called the office I was devastated to hear that he took hs own life. If ever I had to describe Dr. Raines to someone, I would have said he was so happy, telling jokes & making me feel comfortable. I just can't imagine what he must have been facing to have ended his own life. He will be greatly missed & many prayers go to his family & staff.
ikorose
Can some one please tell what happened to Dr. Raines. He has been my dentist since moving to GA twelve years ago. I went to look up his phone number on line to make an appt. for my son and was directed to this site. I am just in shock if what I am reading is true. What a fine man. Thank you. GroovyChica
I worked with Dr. Raines years ago, and have worked in the dental business as a office manager for years. They are alot of great dentists in Paulding County. Look up one of them, or ask his receptionist about your records and how to get them. I am sorry you had to find out this way. edited to add I just read you were sent here online? Edited June 6, 2005 by GroovyChica

Firewalker
Dr. Raines was only the 2nd dentist I've ever had. The first dentist (Dr. Crowe) I had since childhood and he passed away from an apparent heart attack in my teens. Dr. Raines became my dentist afterward. Yes, he was excellent at taking the "scary dental" away when I needed my wisdom teeth removed. Since I had graduated from high school and was no longer covered under my parent's health insurance, he worked with me so I could pay him. (It's good to hear he did this for others as well and just not because I was his cousin). When I got a job that had insurance I made sure I continued to see Dr. Raines. I received my letter from the office too, this has been a shock and I am at a loss for words. He was a great man, great friend, great dentist, and cousin. He will be truly missed. MY HEART, THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO THE STAFF, HIS FAMILY & MY COUSINS. Edited June 13, 2005 by Firewalker
