Mr. Gene Francis Kennedy, age 83 of Hiram, GA passed away onTuesday, March 13, 2012 at his residence.

 

 

Mr. Kennedy was born on July 17, 1928 in Rochester, Minnesota, the son of the late Mr. Frank Kennedy and the late Mrs. CatherineNelson Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy was a retired Army veteran and proudly served during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. Mr. Kennedy enjoyed yardwork and woodworking.

 

 

Mr. Kennedy is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ann A. Elskamp Kennedy; a daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Catherine (Cathy) and Bill Hornsby.

 

 

Funeral Services for Mr. Kennedy will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 12 noon at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Dallas,GA with Father Adrian Pleus and Father Fredrick Elskamp in charge of the funeral mass. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 16, 2012 from 11:00 – 11:50 am then leave in procession to the church.

 

 

Interment will be held on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 12:30 pm at the Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Veterans Cemetery Road, Canton, GA 30114 with full military graveside rites.
