Mr. Cleve Huston "Buddy" Cordell

Mr. Cleve Huston “Buddy” Cordell, age 79 of Powder Springs,GA passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at his residence.

 

 

Mr. Cleve Cordell was born on May 13, 1932 in Canton, GA toloving parents, the late Mr. William Preston Cordell and the late Mrs. RubyLucille Harrison Craig. He was a memberof the New Life Baptist Church. He wasknown as a great provider for his family and jokester and enjoyed gardening,pitching horseshows, working on bicycles, and camping.

 

 

Mr. Cordell is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mrs. MaryEmma Rymer Cordell; three daughters and sons-in-laws, Mrs. Phyllis Jones,Hayesville, NC, Mrs. Renee and Jay Ellis, Douglasville, Mrs. Cheryl and ScottMontgomery, Cleveland, TN; a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. Larry and Tina Cordell,Marietta; two brothers, Mr. Paul Cordell, Tallassee, AL and Mr. Lance Cordell,Toccoa; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews

 

 

Funeral services for Mr. Cordell will be held on Wednesday,February 29, 2012 at 12 noon at the New Life Baptist Church with the ReverendVermon Parmer, Reverend Sam Shipp, and the Reverend Dwayne Hewettofficiating. Interment will follow inthe Kennesaw Memorial Park. Jay Ellis,Larry Cordell, Brian Ellis, Stephen Ellis, Michael Jones, Randall KuyKendall,Robert Todd and Justyn Cordell will serve as pallbearers.

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home onTuesday, February 28, 2012 from 3 – 9 pm and on Wednesday, February 29, 2012from 9 am until they leave in procession for church.
