Mrs. Jewell Ruby Myers, age 84 of Acworth, GA passed away onSaturday, February 25, 2012 at Wellstar Paulding Nursing Center.

 

 

Mrs. Jewell Myers was born on July 14, 1927 in Dallas, GA toloving parents, the late Mr. Dewey

 

David Rackley and the late Mrs. Ruby Mary Lee Willis Rackley. She is preceded in death by her firsthusband, Mr. Sandy Maple; second husband, Mr. William Augustus Myers; Son, Mr.Jackie Maple; grandsons, Jeremy Maple and Paul Maple.

 

 

Mrs. Myers was a member of the New Hope First BaptistChurch. She worked in food service forLockheed, enjoyed cooking and caring for her family and friends.

 

 

Mrs. Jewell Myers is survived by three sons anddaughter-in-laws, Mr. Dewey and Shirley Maple, Woodstock, Mr. William A. andLinda Myers, Kennesaw, and Mr. Richard Myers, Acworth; a daughter-in-law, Mrs.Cindy (Myers) Chambers; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Gulledge and Mrs. Ada Smith,both of Dallas; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Mr. Jerry and ShirleyRackley, Dallas and Mr. Ray Rackley, Smyrna; eleven grandchildren; sixteengreat-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

 

 

Funeral Services for Mrs. Jewell Myers will be held in thechapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 2 pmwith the Rev. Don Voyles officiating and a eulogy by Jesse Myers. Jesse Myers, William Myers III, Gary Maple,Daniel Maple, Matthew Barnard, and Derek May will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery.

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home onMonday, February 27, 2012 from 3 – 9 pm and on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from9 am until the funeral hour.
