Mrs. Sarah Louise Lindsey

Mrs. Sarah Louise Austin Lindsey, age 85 of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Friday, February 10, 2012 at Wellstar Paulding Nursing Center.

 

 

 

Mrs. Louise Lindsey was born on November 4, 1926 in Dallas, GA to loving parents the late Mr. William Polie Austin and Mrs. Bernice Pace Austin. She is also preceded in death by one brother Mr. Buddy Austin and one sister Mrs. Margaret Saturday.

 

 

 

Louise was a lifelong member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church. She worked as a para-pro and school secretary for the Paulding County School System at New Georgia Elementary School from 1968 – 1987. She loved her friends and family, cooking for them was her favorite pastime.

 

 

 

Mrs. Louise Lindsey is survived by her beloved husband Mr. Douglas Lindsey of Dallas, GA; one daughter and son in law Mr. & Mrs. Mark (Lisa) Callaway; one son and daughter in law Mr. & Mrs. Rick (Brenda) Lindsey all of Marietta, GA; three granddaughters Erin Lindsey of Marietta, GA, Mr. & Mrs. Mark (Megan Lindsey) Herrmann of Dallas, GA, and Mr. & Mrs. Anthony (Whitney Callaway) Williams of Atlanta, GA; one great grandchild Ella Herrmann of Dallas, GA; several nieces and nephews, as well as many other beloved family members and friends. Mrs. Lindsey was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.

 

 

 

Funeral Services for Mrs. Louise Lindsey will be held at Pine Ridge Baptist Church on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 3 pm with the Reverend C.L. Powers and Reverend Rickey Eaves officiating. Music will be provided by Jeff Eberhart and Becky Bearden. Troy Lindsey, Roger Lindsey, Gary Lindsey, Lewis Beavers, Phillip Beavers, and Jimmy Pace will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Pine Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

 

 

Mrs. Lindsey will lie in state at Pine Ridge Baptist Church from 2 pm until the time of service.

 

 

 

The family of Mrs. Louise Lindsey will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 4 – 8 pm and Sunday, February 10, 2012 from 9 am until we leave in procession for the church.
