Funeral Director Posted February 1, 2012 Report Share Posted February 1, 2012 Mrs. Madge Clementine Rutledge, age 84 of Dallas, GA passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Wellstar Paulding Hospital. Mrs. Madge Rutledge was born on November 12, 1927 in New Hope, GA to loving parents the late Mr. Henry Grady Pickett and Mrs. Tina Rackley Pickett. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Mr. James G. Rutledge who passed away in 1996; three sisters Mrs. Opal Butler, Mrs. Lois Johnston, and Mrs. Dixie Pickett Echols; three brothers Mr. Paul Pickett, Mr. James Pickett, and Mr. Tommy Pickett. Mrs. Rutledge was a member of New Hope First Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Madge Rutledge is survived by her two sons Mr. Mark Rutledge & Shelley Kenniak, and Mr. Dale Rutledge; special nephew Mr. Frankie Pickett all of Dallas, GA; seven grandchildren Luke Austin Rutledge, Christopher Garrett Rutledge, Chuckie Rutledge, Dusty Rutledge, Mark Rutledge, Doug Rutledge, Kaysie Rutledge; one sister Mrs. Ruth Dixon of Calhoun, GA; five great grandchildren Landon Rutledge, Abigail Rutledge, Janie Rutledge, Brayden Rutledge, and Dusty Rutledge; many nieces and nephews, as well as many other beloved family members and friends. Funeral Services for Mrs. Madge Rutledge will be held in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 11 am with the Reverend Thomas Cole officiating and eulogy reading by Rudy Echols. Music will be provided by Connie Callahan. Charles Dale Rutledge, Dusty James Rutledge, Richard Ronald Rutledge, Douglas Ray Rutledge, Kaysie Nicole Rutledge, Christopher Garrett Rutledge, and Luke Zane Austin will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 5 – 9 pm and Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 9 am until the time of her service.
