Ernest A. Davis, age 84, of Dallas, GA, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012. He was born December 25, 1927, in Dallas, GA, and was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Ernest Davis & Thelma Elizabeth Walraven Davis and a brother, Franklin Davis. Mr. Davis served in the U. S. Army. He retired from Western Union as a W & R Technician, after 20 years of service. Mr. Davis was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of more than 62 years, Betty McClure Davis; sons & daughters-in-law, Mike & Lynn Davis of Dallas, GA and Sean & Lorie Davis of Burns, TN; daughter, Vicki Davis of Dallas, GA; brothers & sister-in-law, Edward & Joan Davis of Douglasville, GA and Larry Davis of St. Louis, MO; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at 11:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Jason Loudermilk officiating. Interment will follow in Kennesaw Memorial Park, with Kevin Davis, Sam Bowen, Brad Davis, Drew Floyd, Hunter Davis and Greg Davis serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
