Mr. Veril R. Fountain, age 70 of Fayetteville Georgia passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Hospice Atlanta.

 

 

 

Mr. Fountain was born in Douglas County, GA on November 10, 1941 to loving parents the late Mr. Hezie Jackson Fountain and Mrs. Willie Mae Bearden Fountain. He is also preceded in death by one sister Mrs. Gladys Smith, and two brothers Mr. Lanier "Jabo" Fountain and Mr. Ralph Irvin Fountain.

 

 

 

Veril Fountain was the owner of Southeastern Paint a paint manufacturing company. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He loved his church and his family. He was a member and deacon of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. He led singing at the church for 40 years.

 

 

 

Mr. Fountain is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years Mrs. Wanda Benson Fountain; one daughter Ms. Lisa Fountain both of Fayetteville, GA; one son Mr. & Mrs. Matt (Paula) Fountain of Dallas, GA; four granddaughters Heather Fountain, Brooke Fountain, Madison Fountain, and Brittany Fountain; four brothers Mr. Favil Fountain of Atlanta, GA, Mr. Gene Fountain, Mr. Lance Fountain both of Fairburn, GA, and Mr. Ray Fountain of Jonesboro, GA; two sisters Mrs. Delma Harvil of Conyers, GA, and Mrs. Faye Latham of Fairburn, GA; many nieces and nephews, as well as other beloved family members and friends. Mr. Fountain was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.

 

 

 

Funeral Services for Mr. Veril Fountain will be held at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at 3 pm with the Reverend Todd Tibbitts and Reverend Eddie Davidson officiating. Music will be provided by Travis Warren, Bob Butler, Matt, Paula and Lisa Fountain. Olga Wring, and Joe Turner will lead the congregational singing. Serving as pallbearers will be Lamar Tibbitts, Chris Farmer, Darryl Farmer, Dana Farmer, Robby Williams, Daren Fountain, Terry Fountain, and Terrell Johnson. Honorary pallbearers include Marty Meeks, Larry Prater, Jerrold Hamm, Johnny Johnson, William Moore, Darwin Young, and numerous nephews. Interment will follow at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery where Reverend Herschel Tibbitts will officiate graveside services. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.

 

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 6 – 9 pm. Viewing will continue Sunday from 9 am until we leave in procession for the church at 2:30 pm.
