Mr. Linard Samuel Spain

Mr. Linard Samuel Spain age 92 of Dallas, GA passed away on November 29, 2011 at his residence.

 

 

 

Mr. Spain was born on February 9, 1919 to loving parents the late Mr. Samuel Spain and Mrs. Janie Holcombe Spain. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Mrs. Rilla Mae Wallace Spain who passed away in 1994, and two sisters Mrs. Janette Hicks and Mrs. Betty Bevis.

 

 

 

Mr. Linard Spain was an active member of the Church of Christ in Villa Rica, GA. He retired from Goodyear in Rockmart, GA. Mr. Spain enjoyed gardening and was a Cooperative Weather Observer for the Department of Commerce for over 15 years.

 

 

 

He is survived by two sisters in law Mrs. Myrtle Smith of Dallas, GA and Mrs. Kathleen Walker of Marietta, GA; one brother in law Mr. Pascal Hicks of Dallas, GA, one nephew Mr. Tommy Hicks of Atlanta, GA; one niece Debbie of Florida, cousins Mrs. Mary Jane Jackson of Dallas, GA Mr. & Mrs. Robert (Ann) Spain of Rockmart, GA, and Mr. Danny Spain of Lithia Springs, GA; as well as other cousins, family members and friends. Mr. Spain was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.

 

 

 

Funeral Services for Mr. Linard Spain will be held in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 11 am with Reverend Patrick Gray officiating. Music will be provided by Jeff Eberhart. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.

 

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 4 – 8 pm and Friday, December 2, 2011 from 9 am until the time of service.
