Mary Edna Hill, age 70, of Hiram passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2011. She was born on October 17, 1940. Mary retired from Cobb Hospital where she worked as a nurse and was a member of Martinsville Baptist Church in Dallas. She was preceded in death by her father, John Marcus Daniel McGouirk.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Hill, her mother, Dorothy McGouirk Champion of Austell, sons, Tommy Brookshire and Ceci Robbins of Peachtree City, GA and Mike Brookshire of Douglasville, GA; a daughter, Dottie and Rusty Parker of Cumming, GA; step-daughters, Loretta and James Carroll of Lithia Springs, GA and Sharron and Mark Harrah of Covington, GA; a brother, Danny and Barbara McGouirk of Douglasville; sisters, Phyllis and Charles Causey of Grand Ridge, FL and Violet and Julian Smith of Austell, GA; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA with Reverend Donnie Evans officiating. The interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Lewis Brookshire, Mike Brookshire, Stacey Brookshire, Brandon Brookshire, David Echols and Timothy Echols serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA is in charge of arrangements. www.samclarkfuneralhome.com
