Danny Eison, age 59, of Rome, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2011. He was born on September 11, 1951, in Atlanta, GA, to the late Walter & Geraldine Eison. Mr. Eison was a United States Marine Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Sweet water Baptist Church. He was a 1969 graduate of Douglas County High School. Mr. Eison loved softball, baseball, football, the Florida Gators, spending time with his grandchildren, and enjoyed history and the Civil War Era.

 

Survivors include,sons and daughters-in-law, Matt & Dawn Eison of Canton, and Jeremy & Kristi Eison of Douglasville; daughter and son-in-law, Brittany & Doug Weatherby of Cartersville; brothers and sister-in-law, Donald L. & Joyce Ann Eison of Dallas, and Ronnie Eison of Carrollton; grandchildren, Owen Eison, Ethan Eison, Aaron Eison, Bailey Eison, Eden Eison, Christa Weatherby, Edward Weatherby, Nicolas Weatherby, and Nolan Weatherby; many nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at 11 a.m., from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Lamar Rackley officiating. Interment will follow in Georgia National Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
