Evolyn Bone Austin, age 86, of Dallas, GA, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011. Born in Decatur, GA, November 11, 1924, she was preceded in death by her father & mother, Marion & Deffie Mae Bone; husband, Sidney Lanier Austin; and daughter, Deffie Denisha Austin. Mrs. Austin was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include her nephew, Ottis Bone of Dallas, GA; niece, Frances Harrison & husband, Gene of Stockbridge, GA; and many great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 16, 2011, at 3:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor William Funk officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, July 15, 2011, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

I am very sorry to hear about this. I will always remember spending a couple of hours in her home to look at albums of pictures she had collected, back when I was trying to collect pictures for the Paulding Historical Society. She had such a treasure trove of historical pictures. She talked about her daughter who died in infancy and how she spent a lot of time wondering how she would have grown up. We had an instant connection. She knew so much about early Paulding County. May she rest in peace. She was a lovely lady.
