Ruby Carter Winters, age 94, of Lawrenceville, GA (formerly of Powder Springs, GA), passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011. She was born in Rockmart, GA, September 20, 1916, to the late, John & Mary Carter. Her husband, the late Howard Winters, preceded her in death in 1983. Mrs. Winters was a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughters & son-in-law, Lynda Winters Creech & husband, Gary of Lawrenceville, GA, and Edna Cole McDonald of Powder Springs, GA; sister, ONeal Payton, Pensacola, FL; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 16, 2011, at 11:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Dr. Richard Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, July 15, 2011, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
