Lynda Gail Rowell Cook, age 61, of Southside, AL (formerly of Douglasville, GA), passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011. She was born December 18, 1949, in Chamblee, GA, and was preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Mary Frances Rowell; husband, Donald Edward Cook; and daughter, Mary Ann Bottoms. Lynda had worked as a secretary for K-Mart and a teller for Regions Bank. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She always lived her life to serve, love, and care for others. Family was very important to her. Lynda married her best friend, Don Cook, raised three beautiful sons, John Bottoms, Bryan Cook, and Joseph Cook, and became a grandma to three wonderful grandchildren. She was also known for her love of animals and often referred to each one of her animals as “her babies”. The best way to help celebrate and honor her life, is to take a moment and share your heart with each other, rejoicing in the memories and happiness she gave to each of us.
