Clark Funeral Home Posted July 6, 2011 Report Share Posted July 6, 2011 William “Bill” Atcheson, age 88, of Dallas, GA, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011. He was born in Paulding County, GA, May 14, 1923, and was preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Lucille Atcheson; wife, Mary Jeanette Meeks Atcheson; brother, Thomas Earl Atcheson; and sister, Catherine Jones. Mr. Atcheson was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He worked in Civil Service for 30 years, first at Ft. McPherson and then retired from the Corp of Engineers 3rd Army Recreation Area at Altoona. Mr. Atcheson was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Survivors include his brother & sister-in-law, J. C. & Vera Atcheson of Carrollton, GA; sister, Doris Bickers of Dallas, GA; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday, July 8, 2011, at 2:00 PM, from Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, with Reverend Derrick Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home, Thursday, July 7, 2011, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Clark Funeral Home, Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
