Louise Lucy Dobbs, age 77, of Douglasville, GA, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Born April 9, 1934, in Maxton, NC, she was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Mary Locklear; brother, Will Locklear; sisters, Sue Locklear, Annie Lowery, Mary Hunt, Lorraine Oxendine and Maudie Oxendine. Mrs. Dobbs worked for 23 years, in the Dekalb County School System, on the school nutrition staff at Clifton Elementary School.

She was a member of Dorsett Shoals Baptist Church in Douglasville.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Thomas Emory Dobbs; son & daughter-in-law, Thomas Britt Dobbs & wife, Tammy of Fairburn, GA; daughter, Tracy Dobbs Calhoun of Buford, GA; brother, Carl Locklear of Pembroke, NC; grandchildren, Hailey Nicole Dobbs of Fairburn, GA, Kaitlyn Denise Dobbs of Fairburn, GA, and Austin Benjamin Calhoun of Buford, GA; many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Thursday, June 2, 2011, at 11:00 AM, from Melwood Cemetery in Stone Mountain, GA, with Reverend Tom Kaplan officiating. Jason Perriet, Marvin Cocchi, Bryan Crespo, David Echols, Rocky Cocchi, Jessie Eaves and Frederick Crespo will serve as pallbearers, with Austin Calhoun serving as an honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
