+subby1
I have struggled with whether or not to share this knowledge, but I have decided to, since mostly only the mechanically inclined guy can save himself some money.....Plus, this is the equivalent of what would be a RECALL on any automobile. If your rider is a single cylinder engine, check the carb and see if it says "Nikki". These carbs are cheap as crap, and are more than 70% prone to have (or quickly develop) a sticking choke. When you choke your engine to start it, then back off the throttle, and it still runs like it's choked, you probably have a Nikki. I have a quick fix for this problem, so give me a call if you are experiencing this problem. I can fix this problem for only $30. The carbs are otherwise "DECENT" but the choke return spring sucks on these carbs. I have developed a quick and reliable fix to stop this problem.
