Clark Funeral Home Posted May 8, 2011 Report Share Posted May 8, 2011 (edited) SIMS Kent Rollie Sims, age 74, of Dallas, GA, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011. He was born in Marion, IN, February 19, 1937 and was preceded in death by his parents Kie Sims and Zella Cain Sims. Kent was a Navy Veteran and retired from Smyrna Police Dept. as a Major with 32 yrs service. Survivors include his wife of 52 yrs Judith Sims of Dallas, GA; daughters, Cheryl Lynn Sims of Dallas, GA and Deborah Duval & her husband, Shad of Cartersville, GA; son, Kent Evan Sims of Bradenton, FL; brother, Dale Sims & his wife, Kathy of White, GA; grandchildren, Dylan, Cassie, Tala and Stephanie; and nephew Justin Sims. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 1pm from Georgia National Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, May 9, 2011 from 5-8pm. Clark Funeral Home, Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
