Mrs. Bessie Mae Newton age 81 of Carrollton Georgia passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at her daughter’s residence in Roanoke Alabama.

 

 

 

Bessie Mae was born on March 7, 1930 in Atlanta, GA to loving parents the late Mr. Zachariah Miller and Mrs. Audre Mae Addison. She is also predeceased by her beloved husband Mr. Tatum Newton who passed away in 1988, and two sons Mr. Terry Newton and Mr. Michael Newton.

 

 

 

Mrs. Newton worked as a seamstress for The Simmons Company for 35 years. She was of the Pentecostal Faith. Bessie loved gardening and she loved her family. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.

 

 

 

Bessie Mae is survived by two daughters Mrs. Pauline Belcher of Wedowee, AL; Mr. & Mrs. Rudy (Bernice) Kellett of Hiram, GA; three sons Mr. & Mrs. Mark (Paula) Newton of Carrollton, GA, Mr. & Mrs. Rex (Jackie) Newton of Winston, GA, Mr. & Mrs. Sid (Faye) Newton of Newnan, GA; twenty nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other beloved family members and friends.

 

 

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Newton will be held in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 1 pm with the Reverend Thomas Cole officiating. Music will be provided by Jeff Eberhart. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens.

 

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 22, 2011 from 4 – 9 pm and Saturday, April 23, 2011 from 9 am until the service begins.
