Mrs. Alta Harris Hardy, age 86, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away at the Powder Springs Nursing

 

And Rehab on Saturday, March 26, 2011.

 

 

Mrs. Hardy was born on April 30, 1924, the daughter of the late Levi Harris and Myra Jessie Jackson. Mrs. Hardy worked in food service and was a cook at Powder Springs Elementary School for many years. In her spare time, she loved sewing.

 

 

Mrs. Hardy is survived by her daughter, Delone (Laura) Holland of Hiram, Georgia; 1 son, Randy (Bev) Hardy of Douglasville, GA; 1 sister, McSel (Janette) Pearson of Powder Springs, Ga; 5 grandchildren: Lori Kirby of Powder Springs, Ga, Kelly Hardy of Hiram, Ga, Jamie Hardy, Josh Hardy, and Tyler Hardy all of Douglasville, Ga; 8 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

 

 

Mrs. Hardy is preceded in death by her husband Mr. JC Hardy, Jr., her parents Mr. Levi Harris and Mrs. Myra Jackson Harris Hardy, and two brothers Mr. Buren Harris and Mr. Clinton Harris.

 

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Alta Harris Hardy will be conducted on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 3:30 pm in the chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Simpson officiating. Music will be provided by Jeff Eberhart and Becky Bearden. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 28, 2011 from 6-9 pm. Pall bearers will include Kelly Hardy, Jamie Hardy, Josh Hardy, Matt Barnett, Dustin Epps, Vincent Kirby, and Danny Pearson. Interment will follow at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Powder Springs, Ga.
