Mrs. Lillie "Inez" Elsberry age 96 of Dallas, Ga passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Wellstar Paulding Hospital.

 

 

Mrs. Elsberry was born on March 16, 1915 in Hiram, Ga, the daughter of the late Mr. Clifford Shipp and Mrs. Nettie Petty Shipp. Mrs. Elsberry was the valedictorian of Hiram High School for the class of 1932 and was a teacher for a short period of time. Mrs. Elsberry was also a homemaker and in her spare time she enjoyed nature and enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, and flowers. In addition, she enjoyed crossword puzzles and genealogy as well.

 

 

Mrs. Elsberry is survived by 1 daughter, Ms. Shirlene Elsberry of Dallas, Ga; 2 sons, Mr. Kenny (Pat) Elsberry of Dallas, Ga and Mr. Ronny (Brenda) Elsberry of Dallas, Ga; 1 granddaughter Matt (Jennifer) Ferguson of Dallas, Ga; 1 great granddaughter, Caleigh Ferguson of Dallas, Ga, and several nieces and nephews.

 

 

Mrs. Elsberry is preceded in death by her husband Mr. Sharon Wendell Elsberry and her beloved parents Mr. Clifford Shipp and Mrs. Nettie Petty Shipp.

 

 

A graveside service for Mrs. Inez Elsberry will be conducted on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 11 am with Rev. Sam Shipp officiating. Interment will be at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Pall bearers will include Cliff Shipp, Mark Shipp, Randy Shipp, Doug Womack, Dale Shipp, and Matt Ferguson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 28, 2011 from 5-9 pm.
