Wendell Prather

Wendell Prather, age 65, of Dallas, GA, passed away Monday, March 21, 2011. He was born December 16, 1945, and was preceded in death by his father, Sammy Prather. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and worked as a plumber for McCray Plumbing.

Survivors include his daughters & sons-in-law, Wendy & Shane LeCroy of Dallas, GA and Edie & Jeff Thurman of Acworth, GA; mother, Margie Vaughn of Cartersville, GA; brothers & sister-in-law, Anthony Prather of Dallas, GA and Dwight & Mary Vaughn of Acworth, GA; sister & brother-in-law, Wilma & Lex Barker of Marietta, GA; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at 3:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 PM until the service time.

Thanks so much ladies. He was definitely the best Daddy I could have ever asked for..and even more. He was a stern disciplinarian when we needed it, but always had open arms and plenty of unconditional love to share. I have been VERY blessed!!
