Ted Jones, age 68, of Powder Springs, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2011. He was born on May 30, 1942, in Shelby, AL, and was preceded in death by his father, Ed Jones, and son, Jeffery Jones. Mr. Jones was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army.

 

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Jones, of Powder Springs; son and daughter-in-law, Ted E. & April Jones of Dallas; daughters and sons-in-law; Stella & Garland Grant of Shreveport, LA, Rita & Steven Blackwell of Douglasville, and Sharon & Jack McClung of Dallas; mother, Mildred Jones of Austell; brothers and sisters-in-law; Melton & Beverly Jones of Tampa, FL, James Neal & Cathleen Jones of Valdosta, GA; Larry Jones of Montevallo, AL; Tommy & Iva Jones of Tyler, TX; sisters and brothers-in-law; Florence & Larry Weeks of TN, Nancy Jones of Tyler, TX, Pat Westmoreland of Austell, Chastine Ashley of Temple, Charlotte Christopher of Woodstock, Barbara & Charles Mathis of Jasper, AL, and Marie & Myron Hickey of Austin, TX; 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

 

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at 3 p.m., from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Carolyn Rosenberger officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, from 1 p.m. until service time.
