Mr. Bobby Durell Henry, age 81 of Dallas, GA passed away on Monday, January 24, 2011 at WellStar Paulding Hospital in Dallas, GA.

 

 

 

Mr. Henry was born on December 14, 1929, the son of the late Mr.Wilton Henry and Mrs. Minnie Lee Townsend Henry. Mr. Henry served his country in the United States Army as a Medic in the Korean Conflict where he became a Disabled Veteran and he kept in touch with his Korean Friends. Mr. Henry was a founding Commander of the Dallas VFW, Post 10832. Mr. Henry enjoyed fishing and was a car fan; also he loved guns and was a supporter of the 2^Nd Amendment. He loved to dress well and was a good neighbor. Mr. Henry was of the Baptist Faith.

 

 

 

Mr. Henry is survived by his wife, Mrs. Tommie Brewer Henry of Dallas, GA. One daughter, Gayle and Tim McCauley of Suwanee, GA. Two sons, David Henry of Dallas, GA. Mark Henry of Dallas, GA. Brother Michael Henry of Dallas, GA. Daughter-in-law Charlene Henry Childs of Ellijay, GA. Special Caregiver Miranda Mallet, Eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren. And many beloved family members and friends.

 

 

 

Mr. Henry is preceded in death by his beloved parents Mr. Wilton and Minnie Lee Henry, Brother Reginald Henry, grandson Scott Henry.

 

 

 

Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Durell Henry will be conducted on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral with Rev. Alton Wilson officiating. Music will be provided by Tony Harris. Pall bearers will include Elijah Henry, Ethan Henry, Seth Henry, Chris Henry, Grady McCauley, Tim McCauley and Raymond Force. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 from 4PM– 9 PM and Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 9AM– 2PM.
