Mrs. Christine Turley Cook

Mrs. Christine T. Cook, age 81 of Dallas, GA passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice in Austell, GA.

 

 

 

Mrs. Cook was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on December 19, 1929, the daughter of the late Mr. Luther Turley and Mrs. Bertha Cook Turley. She worked in the lunchroom with the Cobb County School System. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, gardening and cooking for her beloved family.

 

 

 

Mrs. Cook is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Sandra Merritt of Tallapoosa, GA. Mrs. Joyce Boyd of Acworth, GA, 2 sons, Bobby R. and wife Caroline Cook, Kennesaw, GA, Kenneth and wife Patti Cook, Dallas, GA. 1 sister, Lois Carnes of Crossville, Ala. Six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces , nephews and other beloved family members and friends.

 

 

 

Mrs. Cook is preceded in death by her beloved husband Ray E. Cook, parents Mr. Luther Turley and Mrs. Bertha Cook Turley, daughter Joan Weaver, two grandchildren Jeremy Patterson and Hank Boyd, four brothers, Alton, Gene, Harold and Charles Turley, one sister, Clara Mae Turley.

 

 

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Cook will be conducted on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. John Darnell officiating. Music will be provided by Mr. Harold Owenby. Pall bearers will include Jason Cook, Ben Ivey, Derrick Williams and Mitch Blasingame, Gary Hudson, Todd Cook and honorary Pall bearer Hurley Boyd. Interment will be at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.

 

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 from 6PM – 8PM and Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 11AM – 1 PM.
