Edward Leon Roach, age 81, of Hiram, GA, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010. The son of the late, Ernest T. & Hazel Irene Roach, he was born in Buford, GA, November 27, 1929. His sister, Judy Harris, preceded him in death. Mr. Roach was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U. S. Air Force. He was the owner of Captain Eddie’s Restaurant for 31 years.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Roach; sons, David P. Gunter of Dallas, GA, and Cody Sosebee of Hiram, GA; brothers & sisters-in-law, Douglas & Ellen Roach of Marietta, GA, Lamar Roach of Marietta, GA, and Billy & Peggy Roach of Marietta, GA; sisters, Betty Clark of Woodstock, GA, Patsy Sullivan of Marietta, GA, and Shirley Abercrombie of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Jackson Edward Gunter and Allie E. Gunter; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at 4:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Bill Reese officiating. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
