Mrs. Parry Lee Crew age 91 of Dallas Georgia passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice.

 

Mrs. Parry Lee Crew was born on September 10, 1919 in Paulding County. She is the daughter of the late Reverend Homer Eidson and Mrs. Lelia Sosebee Eidson. She worked at Matthews Elementary in the cafeteria. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church for over 75 years. Some of her favorite pastimes included cooking and sewing.

 

Mrs. Parry Lee Crew is survived by 1 son Mr. & Mrs. Donald (Gail) Crew of Dallas, Ga; 1 grandchild Mr. Bill Crew of Maryland; 1 great grandchild Mr. Logan Crew of Maryland; 3 sisters Mrs. Lettie Thaxton of Hiram, Ga, Mr. & Mrs. Bobby (Fay) Rakestraw of Hiram, Ga, and Mr. & Mrs. Ralph (Shirley) Thurmond of Atlanta, Ga; 3 brothers Mr. & Mrs. Artis (Nell) Eidson of Mableton, Ga, Mr. & Mrs. W.L. (Lois) Eidson of Powder Springs, Ga, and Mr. & Mrs. Douglas (Lynn) Eidson of Dallas, Ga; nieces, and nephews, as well as many other beloved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of many years Mr. Robert Crew; loving parents Reverend & Mrs. Homer (Lelia) Eidson; 1 brother, Mr. Curtis Eidson; and 1 sister, Mrs. Izetta Landers.

 

Mrs. Parry Lee Crew will lie in state at Shady Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, December 11, 2010 from 12 - 1 pm. Funeral Services for Mrs. Crew will begin at the church at 1 pm with Reverend Hershel Tibbitts and Reverend Jimmy Tibbitts officiating. Music will be provided by the Tibbitts Family and Jody Palmer. Pall bearers will include Phil Penegar, Curt Eidson, Art Eidson, Art Crew, Peter Hitchock, and Keith Rakestraw. Honorary pall bearers will include Mr. Derek Eidson, Jimmy Crew, and Kenneth Hicks. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Baptist Church.

 

The family will receive friends at Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Friday, December 10, 2010 from 4 - 8 pm and Saturday, December 11, 2010 9 am until we leave in procession for Shady Grove Baptist Church at 12:30 pm.
