Mrs. Mae Duke age 87 of Hiram, Georgia passed away on Friday, November 26, 2010 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital.

 

 

 

Mrs. Duke was born on September 4, 1923 in Calhoun, Ga; daughter of the late Mr. Grady Dillard and Mrs. Nettie Wilson Dillard. She worked as a packer for Dow Chemical.

 

 

 

Mrs. Mae Duke is survived by 2 sons Mr. Ernest Duke of Hiram, Ga and Mr. & Mrs. Wesley (Eva) Duke of Dawson, Ga; 1 daughter Mrs. Shirley Lester of Hiram, Ga; 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; 1 sister Mrs. Lela Tipton of Powder Springs, Ga; as well as many other beloved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Mr. Veto Duke who passed away in 1994, 2 infant children, and her loving parents Mr. & Mrs. Grady (Nettie) Dillard.

 

 

 

Services for Mrs. Mae Duke will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at 3 PM in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Bishop Keith Graham officiating. Music will be provided by Penny Goldman and Bishop Keith Graham. Interment will follow at New Hope Memory Gardens.

 

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, November 27, 2010 from 5 PM – 9 PM and Sunday, November 28, 2010 from 9 AM until the service begins at 3 PM.
