patsapparel
I am an experienced seamstress/fashion designer (20+ years) and teach sewing to young people, aged 13 years and older, as well as adults. I plan to start another beginner class in January for both age groups. I will enroll 3 students per class, maximum. Classes are 6 hours of instruction for $120.00. I provide all materials except the sewing machine which you must bring. The classes are held on Tuesday or Friday evenings, or another evening if you have a special request, from 6;30 to 8 p.m. The beginner classes teach use and maintenance of your sewing machine and basic stitches; straight, zig zag and curved, pivot, and backstitch. We make a small project in each class that you can take home with you. Beginner 2 classes are available for those who have familiarity with their machines and some sewing experience, and intermediate classes teach how to use a sewing pattern. Special instruction in sewing home decor is available at $25 per hour or if you can find a friend who wants to learn this type of sewing also we can start a class. Simple techniques of making window valences, throw pillows, table runners, etc. will be taught. Email me your interests if I have not covered it here. Or stop by my shop at 1598 Hiram Douglasville Hwy in Hiram and we can talk more about your sewing interests! Pat 770-222-7888
