Mr. Paul Frederick Wiesner

Mr. Paul Frederick Wiesner Sr., aged 88 of Marietta Georgia, passed away on September 22, 2010.

 

 

 

Mr. Wiesner was born on January 1, 1922 in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of the late Mr. Frederick Wiesner and Mrs. Eddye Frances Buey Wiesner. He was a member of the alumni clubs of St. Xavier High School Class of 1939 and the University of Louisville, both in Louisville KY. He served his country as an officer in the United States Navy fighting in World War II and the Korean War and retiring from the Navy Reserves in 1982.

 

 

 

As a young man he played semi-professional baseball and later coached Little League and was President of the Babe Ruth League in St. Matthews KY. An avid golfer, Mr. Wiesner was a former member of the Pine Tree Country Club in Kennesaw, GA and past president of the North Georgia Senior Golf Association. Often volunteering, he worked with Junior Achievement in Baltimore, MD and neighborhood associations in Marietta GA. He was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. Mr. Wiesner retired as a Senior Vice President for Sun Life of America.

 

 

 

Mr. Paul F. Wiesner is survived by 2 sons Mr. Paul F. Wiesner Jr. of Fredricksburg, VA and Mr. & Mrs. Mark Douglas (Nan) Wiesner of Roswell, GA; 2 daughters Dr. Susan L. Wiesner (James L. Watkins) of Villa Rica, GA and Mrs. Gail Ann (James E.) Majors of Grand Junction, CO; 9 grandchildren Mr. & Mrs. Jonathan P. (Valerie Gray) Bader of Marietta, GA; Mrs. Rommie L. (Corey) Stalnaker of Villa Rica, GA; Mr. K. Alan Bader of Denver, CO; Mrs. Lisa Ann (Ryan) Edwards of Vinings, GA; Mr. Andrew Wiesner of Irvine, CA; Miss Kristan Wiesner of Woodbridge, VA; Mr. Michael Paul Wiesner of Fredricksburg, VA; Mr. Aidan H. Majors of Grand Junction, CO; Miss Natalie F. Majors of Grand Junction, CO; 3 great grandchildren Giana Bader, Faith Stalnaker and Eden Bader. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mrs. Betty Sue Wiesner, loving mother Eddye Frances Wiesner, and an infant sister Marian Wiesner.

 

 

 

A graveside committal service with Military Honors will be held for Mr. Paul F. Wiesner Sr. at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton GA on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 1 PM with Mr. James Watkins officiating.
