Mrs. Ammie Lucille Brooks Thackston Thomas, Age 94 of Hiram, Ga. Passed away on September 17, 2010 in Austell, Ga.

 

Mrs. Thomas was born May 5, 1916 in rural Paulding County, Ga. to the late Mr. George W. Brooks and Mrs. Mattie Shipp Brooks Meadows. Mrs. Thomas was married to the late Mr. Sylvania "Syl" Thomas. Mrs. Thomas worked as a seamstress with Malbon for many years.

 

Mrs. Thomas was a Faithful member of Flint Hill United Methodist Church in Hiram, Ga.

 

Services will be held on Sunday September 19, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. from the Benson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Vaughn and Rev. James Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Flint Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hiram,Ga. Pallbearers: Joe DeLong, Thomas Gaydon, Chaz Gaydon, Howard Gaydon, Dave Nash, Stacy Cantrell.

 

Survivors: Daughters: Ms. Faye Gaydon of Hiram, Ga. Mr. & Mrs. Verl (Peggy) Walter of Powder Springs, Ga. Mr. & Mrs. Harold (Janette) DeLong of Whitesburg, Ga.

 

Grandchildren: Mr. & Mrs. Stacy (Tina) Cantrell of Rome, Ga. Mr. & Mrs. Thomas (Brandy) Gaydon of Powder Springs, Ga. Mr. & Mrs. Howard (Drena) Gaydon of Middleburg, Fl. Mr. & Mrs. Dave (Connie) Nash of Dallas, Ga. Mr. Joseph Walter of Powder Springs, Ga. Mr. Richard DeLong of Whitesburg, Ga. Mr. Joe DeLong of Middleburg, Fl.
