SOTDOC
Use these safety tips when you’re lifting so that you don’t damage muscles, discs or joints: - Place your feet shoulder-wide and take small steps. - Tighten your abdominal muscles to take pressure off of your spine. - Bend your knees and keep your back straight. - Lift the object close to your body. - Don’t twist or lift with your back bent or curved. - If you’re having trouble lifting, ask someone to help you. - If you’re lifting objects on a regular basis, use a back support.
