If you are selling your home, curb appeal is very important! A well landscaped home will can help increase the number of offers you get and the selling price of your house.

Here’s a few tips:

1.) Start with a landscape design and follow it.

2.) Keep trees and shrubs cut away from the side of the home and make sure they are not growing over walkways and driveways.

3.) Cut the gras on a regular basis so that potential buyers always see it looking its best. Don’t forget to edge the lawn. This gives it a well-manicured, professional look.

4.) Regardless of the season, try to have color in your yard. This can be from flowering trees and shrubs or contrasting foliage. Spread the color throughout the yard for a balanced look.

5.) Stand at the street and look at your home. Does the landscaping add appeal to the house, or take away from it. Ask other people’s opinions on your curb appeal. Sometimes sellers have become too accustomed to their home and don’t notice what a buyer will see.

It might not seem like much, but these few things can make a huge difference in the real estate market today!
