Mrs. Anna Lydia Garcia Serrano age 65 of Dallas, Georgia passed away on April 3, 2010. She was born in Puerto Rico on August 1, 1944 the daughter of the late Augustine Garcia and Providencia Santiago Muniuz. She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed painting, dancing and cooking. She loved babysitting all children and taking care of her grandchildren.

 

Mrs. Anna Lydia Garcia Serrano is survived by one son, Carmelo Serrano, Jr. of California; 6 daughters, Nancy Gonzalez of Florida, JoAnne & Aurelio Irizarry of Florida, Samantha Serrano of Dallas, Ga., Damaris Serrano Dunaway of Florida, Linda Serrano of Augusta, Ga., Janet Serrano of Dallas, Ga.; 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Iris Belen Medina of New York, Virginia Maria Isabel Perez of Arizona, Mary Virginia Escabi of Puerto Rico; son in law, Miguel Berrios, nieces and nephews and many other beloved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Carmelo Serrano, Sr. ; daughter, Elizabeth Serrano Berrios; parents, Augustine & Providencia Garcia; 6 brothers; and her son in law, Mark Dunaway.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Lydia Garcia Serrano will be conducted at 9 AM on April 6, 2010 from the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 3 PM at the Bellview Memorial Gardens located at 4501Wrightsboro Rd, Grovetown, Ga. 30802. Pallbearers will include Carmelo Serrano, Jr., Pedro Reyes, Tony Reyes, Evan Serrano, Augustine Fitzhenry, and Ricardo Mack. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday April 5, 2010 from 4PM until 9PM.
