Clark Funeral Home Posted January 29, 2010 Report Share Posted January 29, 2010 Jeanne Manning Summers, age 82, of Dallas, GA, passed away Friday, January 29, 2010. She was born in Spring City, TN, May 16, 1927, to the late, Thomas Roe Manning & the late, Arkie Jewett Manning. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Summers, Sr.; sons, James W. Summers, Jr. and Thomas Lee Summers; daughter, Joanne Summers Watkins; grandson, Timothy Frey; and brother, Frank Manning. Mrs. Summers worked for the IRS as a collection agent. Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Sandra Summers Frey & husband, Bill of Dallas, GA; brothers & sisters-in-law, Max & Janice Manning of Rockwood, TN, and Thomas & Fran Manning of Spring City, TN; sisters & brother-in-law, Doris Koger of Chattanooga, TN and Wanda & Elmore Bostic of Springs City, TN; sister-in-law, Claudine Manning of Spring City, TN; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at 2:00 PM, from the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wellstar Tranquility Hospice, 4040 Hospital West Drive, Austell, GA 30106. Clark Funeral Home, Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
