Clark Funeral Home Posted December 30, 2009 Report Share Posted December 30, 2009 James L. Morris, Jr., age 78, of Fruithurst, AL, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2009. He was born October 15, 1931, in Orlando, FL, to the late, James L. Morris, Sr. and the late, Thelma Glover Morris. Mr. Morris was a U. S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was retired from Lockheed after 30 years as a flight line mechanic. He was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church in Fruithurst, AL. Survivors include his wife, Annie Gordon Morris; sons & daughter-in-law, Eldon & Delores Morris of Mableton, GA and Gene Morris of New Hampshire; daughters & son-in-law, Jennifer & John Clayton of Fruithurst, AL, Deborah Dorsett and Ava Davis of Dallas, GA; brother & sister-in-law, Wayne & Sharon Morris of Birmingham, AL; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be Friday, January 1, 2010, at 3:00 PM, from Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery, with Pastor Ron Carroll officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Clark Funeral Home, Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
